Bandung, August 4, 2025 — The Faculty of Mathematics and Science Education (FPMIPA) at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) welcomed a visit from the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) of Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) as part of a benchmarking program on curriculum and the implementation of undergraduate (S1), master’s (S2), and doctoral (S3) programs in Mathematics Education, Mathematics, and Computer Science.
The UNY delegation, led by Prof. Dr. Agus Maman Abadi, M.Si. (Coordinator of Mathematics Education Master’s Program), consisted of six faculty members holding key positions in their departments and study programs, including Prof. Dr. Drs. Sugiman, M.Si., Prof. Kismiantini, S.Si., M.Si., Ph.D., Dr. Kuswari Hernawati, S.Si., M.Kom., Dr. Sri Andayani, S.Si., M.Kom., and Dr. Retno Subekti, S.Si., M.Sc.
From UPI’s side, the event was attended by Prof. Al Jupri, S.Pd., M.Sc., Ph.D., Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, as well as Heads of Study Programs, including Dr. Jarnawi Afghani Dahlan, M.Kes., Head of the Mathematics Education Study Program.
The visit began with welcoming remarks and introductions from both parties, followed by presentations on faculty and study program profiles. Discussions then focused on curriculum development, teaching strategies, assessment, and program management. The meeting also served as a platform for sharing best practices in delivering mathematics and science education at various levels.
Prof. Al Jupri expressed his appreciation for the visit and hoped that academic collaboration between the two faculties would continue, through experience exchange, joint research, and collaborative program development. The event concluded with an exchange of souvenirs and a group photo session in the FPMIPA UPI leadership meeting room.
