Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi raji’un 

On January 1, 2022, Prof. Dr. H. Wawan Setiawan, M.Kom, Lecturer of Computer Science Education Department and Director of the Directorate of Planning and Organization at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, passed away. The late Prof. Wawan died precisely 56 years since he was born, in which 30 years of his life was devoted as a lecturer and leader at FPMIPA. He was a professor with expertise in the use of artificial intelligence and media in learning. He has published hundreds of scientific articles and has been involved in various important national and international research. During his lifetime, he was also active in community activities, especially by carrying out various service activities related to the use of computers in remote areas in West Java.

From the bottom of our heart, all FPMIPA faculties and employees extends our deepest condolences. May his deeds be accepted by Allah SWT and his surviving family (wife and two children) are blessed with sincere acceptance of Allah’s provisions, Aamiin ya rabbal alamin.
