FPMIPA Wins Futsal Championship at PORDOSKA XIV UPI 2024
The Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) hosted the PORDOSKA or Inter-Faculty Sports Week for Lecturers and Staff from August 12 to 16, 2024. All sports events took place at the Gymnasium Building of UPI, Bumi Siliwangi Campus, Jalan Dr. Setiabudhi Number 229, Bandung.
During the XIV PORDOSKA, organized by UPI in 2024, the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences Education (FPMIPA) achieved a remarkable milestone by winning the futsal championship. This victory marks a historic moment for FPMIPA, as it is the first time they have secured the championship title since the inception of PORDOSKA.
In the final match for the championship, Team FPMIPA faced off against the team from the Office of School Development and Management Laboratory (KP2SL) UPI. With a solid performance and brilliant tactics, Team FPMIPA outplayed their opponents with a score of 7-2, securing their position as the new futsal champions.
The journey to the final was not without its challenges. Team FPMIPA had to overcome several tough opponents, including the UPI Futsal Team from Purwakarta and the Combined Unit, before finally facing the UPI Technical Implementation Unit (UPT) team in Serang during the semifinals. In the final, they faced KP2SL and concluded the match with an impressive victory. “We were highly motivated to achieve better results compared to last year when we only managed to win the bronze medal,” said Aditya Eko Putera, S.Pd., FPMIPA’s Pivot, who scored five goals in the final match.
Aditya also added that this victory was the result of consistent training, as well as the prayers and hard work of the entire team, including players, officials, and supporters. “Alhamdulillah, FPMIPA’s victory in this year’s PORDOSKA futsal competition is a result of Allah SWT’s blessings and the hard work of everyone involved, including players, officials, and supporters, as well as the full moral and material support from the faculty,” he said.
One of the key factors behind FPMIPA’s success was the strong sense of unity and teamwork among the players. Despite coming from various academic backgrounds, they managed to work together harmoniously and effectively. “Without the team’s cohesion, the harmony with the officials both on and off the field, and the full support from the faculty leadership, it would have been impossible for FPMIPA Futsal to win the PORDOSKA championship this year. Bravo FPMIPA!” Aditya exclaimed with enthusiasm.
Hana Nurdiana, an educator who served as FPMIPA’s goalkeeper, mentioned that although their initial target was only to finish in third place, their hard work and dedication led to a higher achievement. “Initially, our target was to finish in third place, just like last year, because we knew the competition would be tough with the rapid development of other teams. However, thanks to our struggle and hard work, we reached the final and became the champions. Alhamdulillah,” she said proudly.
With this achievement, FPMIPA made history as the futsal champions at PORDOSKA UPI and was awarded a prize of one million rupiah for their victory. This success is expected to inspire the entire UPI academic community, demonstrating that with hard work, fighting spirit, unity, and prayers, we can achieve the best results we desire.
