REPORT OF INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON APPROPRIATE TECHNOLOGY  (ICAT) AND LUPIC SEMI-ANNUAL MEETING

The activities in Singaraja have been carried out for four days, starting from Sunday, October 20, to Tuesday, October 22, 2024. There were three activities carried out during that time: the semi annual meeting, the International Conference on Appropriate Technology, and group discussion  between three universities. 

Lupic Semi-Annual Meeting

On Sunday, October 20, 2024, a semi annual meeting was held in the Faculty of  Mathematics and Natural Science Undiksha meeting room, which was attended by  representatives from three universities (UPI, UNNES, and Undiksha) with Prof. Woonkoo Lee as the Korean representative in the Lupic Project. In this activity, each university presented the progress of the second-year activities, discussed the obstacles faced, and together found solutions to these obstacles. This activity lasted until the evening and was continued  with a welcome reception with all conference participants.

The 15th International Conference on Appropriate Technology (ICAT) 2024

The conference spanned over two days, from 21 to 22 October 2024. On the first day,  the opening ceremony was held and continued with a plenary session featuring  two keynote speakers Prof. Jeyong Yoon from Seoul National University, Korea, and Dr. Maykel T.E. Manawam, M.Sc. S. Si., from the National Research and Innovation Agency, Indonesia. After that, participants were divided into two rooms to attend parallel sessions. In this session, I had the opportunity to be a moderator in session 5 with the theme  of STEAM Education. Next, it was continued with a poster session and a group photo session with  all participants. In the evening, all participants had dinner together at a Beach Club. On the second  day, the presentation of two keynote speakers, Prof. Ki-Bok Min from Seoul National University,  Korea, and Prof. Kwanwoo Shin from Sogang University, Korea. was continued, followed by the  awarding, and closing ceremony. After the ICAT closing ceremony, the program continued to open a new lab in Undiksha. This new lab was supported by LUPIC, Sogang University. Furthermore, after  the opening of the new lab, UPI-Unnes-Undiksha continued the meeting to discuss 2nd year program. The UPI team went back to Bandung on October 23rd, 2024.
