Thursday, July 10th, 2025, the Chemistry Education and Chemistry Study Program UPI, supported by the Leading University Project for International Cooperation (LUPIC), held the “Workshop on Developing Green Chemistry Experiments with a Small-Scale Approach for High School Chemistry Teachers in West Bandung Regency.” This workshop is part of a series of events conducted offline at the Chemistry Learning & Teaching Research Laboratory (LPBM) of FPMIPA UPI, continuing from the previous online meeting. The workshop participants were high school and vocational school teachers who are members of the Chemistry Subject Teachers’ Association (MGMP) in West Bandung Regency. In this workshop, the participants were guided to develop Green Chemistry Experiments using a Small-Scale approach based on chemistry topics for grades X, XI, and XII.
The workshop was opened by Ms. Vidia Afina Nuraini, S.Si., M.Sc., who served as the master of ceremony, followed by a welcoming speech from Prof. Dr. Asep Kadarohman, M.Si. In his speech, the teachers were introduced to the Leading University Project for International Cooperation (LUPIC), which supports the implementation of this workshop. Then, the teachers were directed by Ms. Rosi Oktiani, S.Pd., M.Pd., and Ms. Febriati Dian Mubarokah, M.Si.P., to conduct green chemistry experiments on chemistry topics predetermined for grades X, XI, and XII. The teachers were encouraged to provide feedback and suggestions for improvements regarding the experimental procedures carried out and to discuss them further after the experiments were completed.
