Community Services

The implementation of community service within the scope of MP-BE refers to the community service roadmap from the faculty as well as the scientific vision of MP-BE. Several themes that have been and will be developed include:

1) Enhancing the Competence of Biology Teachers in Facing the Era of Merdeka Belajar;

2) Science Learning Supporting the Implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum; and

3) Developing Innovative Science Learning to Support the Implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum.

The focus of the community service activities itself is on the development of innovative science learning to support the demands of the National Curriculum. The summary of the funding for community service conducted by the faculty members within the scope of MP-BE can be seen in Table 2.5.6.

Community service in 2024
 
Community service in 2024 will be held on November 1-2, 2024, at SMAN 6 Garut (Garut Regency). This community service activity is a collaboration between the Biology Education Study Program and the West Java Region XI Branch Office of the Education Department. The participants of the community service program consist of junior and senior high school teachers who are members of the Biology Subject Teacher Forum (MGMP) in Garut and Tasikmalaya. The theme of the PKM activity is Technical Guidance for Innovative Learning. In the implementation of the PKM, three themes were presented, including:
1) Ethnopedagogy-based learning design to support the concept of sustainability
2) Inquiry-based assessment
3) The use of AI in learning
